The Dubai Desert Classic
Take in the ultimate desert showdown
Staged at Emirates Golf Club, the tournament is fondly referred to as the ‘Major of the Middle East,’ because of its legacy and world-class field that it attracts every year. Since its inception the tournament has continued to innovate year-on-year with an impressive indoor and outdoor hospitality facility to complement Dubai’s perfect climate in January. The field for 2023’s Dubai Desert Classic included Open Champion - Shane Lowry, Tommy Fleetwood, Francesco Molinari and of course the eventual winner - Rory McIlroy.
Away from the golf action, the tournament offers a range of attractions, food options and entertainment.
The Golf Courses
The Els Club
Regarded as having the best greens in all of Dubai, the eponymous course of Ernie Els features undulations and strong elevation changes for visual and strategic interest. Sandy waste areas and native grasses between wide fairways, along with a classic style of bunkering, add to the links effect.
Dubai Hills
Experience the latest Dubai golf offering at this serene and lush lifestyle destination, located only 15 minutes from Downtown Dubai. Carved out of the desert, Dubai Hills Golf Club is designed for all levels of golfers with large contoured fairways, offering a variety of strategic options.
Dubai Creek Golf Club
A memorable journey from the first green to the 18th. The superbly manicured fairways are undulating, demarcated by date and palm trees, and most other times by water. Apart from the Creek, which comes into play on four holes, several artificial lakes add to the beauty of this course.
The Earth Course at Jumeirah
Proud host of the DP World Tour Championship- the culmination of The Race to Dubai and European Tour season. This sharply defined, sculptured course inspired by the great parklands of Europe and North America, paints a magnificent pastiche of ora, rolling terrain and rushing water.
Park Hyatt Dubai
Luxurious five-star retreat nestled along the shorelines of the Dubai Creek, boasting world-class cuisines its own private beach and stunning skyline views.
